Payment Details

If you are staying less than 4 weeks:

  1. The first week's stay plus Security deposit (Reservation Deposit) is payable in order to obtain a booking confirmation. A Booking Confirmation/Receipt will be emailed to you once first payment has been confirmed.

  2. Unless entirely prepaid, the remainder will be due upon arrival.

  3. Please note that the state of Maine requires a 9% lodging tax for any stay less than 28 days, to be collected with the rental payment! (Lodging tax does not apply for stays 28 days or longer)

  4. Security Deposit will be returned upon satisfactory inspection of cottage after Guest has departed.

If you are staying more than 4 weeks:

  1. Your first 28-day stay plus security deposit (Reservation Deposit) is payable in full in order to obtain a booking confirmation. A Booking Confirmation/Receipt will be emailed to you once first payment has been confirmed.

  2. Payment for the next 28-day stay (or remainder days, if not staying a full subsequent 28-day period) is due 4 days before the end of the current 28-day period. This will repeat until the end of your stay.

  3. Security Deposit will be returned upon satisfactory inspection of cottage after Guest has departed.

Accepted forms of payment:

  1. Credit cards are accepted but will require an additional 3% credit card processing fee.

  2. Company or Cashiers Check or Money Order, when paying in advance.

  3. Cash is accepted upon check-in.

Cancellation Policy

After booking confirmation and before 30 days prior to arrival, there is a $100 charge for a cancelled reservation. Within 30 days of arrival, 100% of your deposit is non-refundable. We will be happy to apply $500 of this non-refundable deposit towards a future stay with us.  There are no refunds for early departures.

 

Arrival Day

We will meet you at the cottage at 4:00 PM on Sunday. A receipt will be given to you for payments received. Payment for additional week (s) can be made at this time. A photo ID and a copy of a credit card will be required at this time. This is taken as a security to cover any losses or damages to the cottage that may occur during your stay.  We will review all necessary items to make you feel at home in your cottage.

 

Departure Day

Check-out time is 11:00 AM on Saturday. A review of the cottage will be made to ensure no damages. Any losses or damages can be settled with cash or will be charged to your credit card. We ask that you leave the Cottage in the same condition as when you arrived. Tidy, garbage taken out, and all dirty linens in a pile on the bathroom floor. A cleaning fee will be charged if the Cottage is left excessively dirty and/or with any damages. A $500 fee will be collected if any smoking has occurred in any of our cottages.

During Your Stay

Your privacy and comfort is our biggest concern. When you are a guest in one of our cottages we want you to feel at home, with privacy, peace and quiet. We will not disturb you. If you would like housekeeping services, they will need to be discussed and prearranged, as all of our cottages are designed for you to live self-sufficiently.

If you would like to be a guest, please proceed as outlined below;

Click -  Contact Us  and complete the "contact" form with the following detailed information:

  • Preferred cottage

  • Arrival & departure dates

  • Full name (s) of the guest (s)

  • Company name, mailing address, email address and telephone numbers

  • Let us know if you would like to request additional services.

Once Cottage dates and rates have been confirmed, payment is required to secure your booking.

 

Upon receipt of payment, you will receive a Booking Confirmation/Receipt via email. We will require this to be completed and returned in advance of check-in.
